The Department of Psychiatry has established a travel award scheme to support early and mid-career researchers within the Department.

The scheme will provide financial support to enable researchers to participate in high-quality research conferences via accepted presentations, and potentially to visit research institutions during the same period of travel. This scheme aims to enhance research capabilities, national/international profile, and collaborative networks, and to build on track records of promising researchers.

Awards that promote collaboration across the Department of Psychiatry or align with Departmental research priorities will be viewed favourably.

In 2026, the Department will be supporting three successful applications of up to $7,500.
